St Joachim School is located approximately sixty-five miles south of Saint Louis and just north of Potosi, Missouri off of highway 21. It has been established since 1948 and continues to be vibrant in teaching Catholic faith, in providing a current and updated education for students using the Archdiocese and Missouri standards and holding students to be responsible and respectful in the future. St. Joachim is accredited through the Missouri Nonpublic School Accrediting Association. The school is surrounded by beautiful trees and buildings providing a safe and welcoming environment.
St. Joachim enrolls preschool to eighth grade classes. Special classes (art, music and PE) are offered daily. Teachers are dedicated to all students and participate yearly in professional development, on-line classes and work as a team to establish quality teaching.
The history of St. Joachim includes a French heritage that is honored and taught yearly. Students leave St. Joachim prepared with high achievement in both knowledge and future employment. Annually, on Fall Festival Day, alumni return to the school to reminisce and share their stories with friends and family. Graduates are also invited to a Community Thanksgiving Dinner, a Golf Tournament and the annual Christmas Play.
St. Joachim’s mission is to assist the parents and the parish in their shared responsibility of providing an excellent Christian and academic education that is Alive In Christ for the children of all neighboring counties. Scholarships are available for tuition through the Alive in Christ Tuition grant, OMCET grant and local donations.
